Respond to University statement relating to Amendment One

Duke University released a statement relating to some of the key issues surrounding  the proposed Amendment One.  When this happened, it was picked up by several news stations.  One news blog, DukeCheck.com, contacted GPSC (as well as a few other campus groups) for our reactions to the statement.  We would like to remind students of Article XIX in GPSC by-laws, our anti-discrimination policy.  On behalf of GPSC, GPSC President responded with the following:

‘We at GPSC are proud to have a very diverse student body.  Our purpose is to represent and advocate on behalf of ALL graduate and professional students at Duke University.  We are supportive of the stance the University has taken on this very serious issue.’

GPSC Election Results

The elections for GPSC Executive Board and GPSC Representatives to BoT Standing Committees 2012-2013 were held on March 20 and March 27 during the General Assembly meetings. Congratulations to the new officers and representatives.
