The FMIG (Family Medicine Interest Group) is an organization, affiliated with the North
Carolina Academy of Family Physicians (NCAFP) and the American Academy of Family
Physicians (AAFP), designed for students who have an interest in family practice or primary
care. FMIG activities include lectures and seminars on topics relevant to family medicine,
hands-on learning experiences (suture, casting, musculoskeletal workshops),panel
discussions with opportunities to talk with faculty and residents,community service projects,
and an annual FMIG Dinner.
