Summer Opportunities from the Duke Durham Neighborhood Partnership:

  • We work with three summer programs:  Camp Calvary, West End Community Center and Emily K Center.  Their operational hours are during the working day but vary by the centers, usually anywhere from 8:00 - 5:00.  As for age group and responsibilities, that will also vary by the center, most of the coordinators would be willing to accomodate your preferences in terms of age group/activities.  The summer camps tend to be academic in the morning with the students divided into school-age groups (Kindergartern - 2nd grade, 3-5, 6-8) with the afternoons spent in recreational activities.
