SEEDS is a non-profit community garden that helps neighborhoods and communities creat sustainable green spaces for gardening, gathering and education.
Volunteers can
- work on a specific area of the garden (e.g. compost bins, flower beds, ponds, perennial border, butterfly garden, food alley)
- help with the SEEDlings program for 7-12 year olds on weekdays from 3:30-5:45pm (fun activities & homework help)
- help with Durham Inner-City Gardeners with teenagers on Fridays & Saturdays (market gardening & food production)
- create and distribute outreach flyers or program brochures
- assist on special projects (bulk mailings and fund raisers)
Volunteer scheduling is flexible.
