Sweeney Todd is the killer thriller musical about the barber who did away with his customers with a flick of the razor and then had his lover serve up their remains in tasty meat pies. This show, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by Hugh Wheeler and directed by John Clum of the Duke Theater Studies faculty, is a joint production of Hoof ‘n’ Horn and the Department of Theater Studies. Tickets are $10 General Admission and $5 Students and Seniors. They can be purchased through the Duke Box Office at tickets.duke.edu.

Sabrosura, Duke's premiere Latin dance troupe, invites all interested graduate and professional students to try out for membership. Tryouts will be held on September 21st in Wilson Gym. No partner or prior knowledge of Latin dance is required to try out. Auditioners will be taught several patterns in Casino-style salsa (a.k.a. salsa rueda), and then evaluated on those patterns alone.

Sabrosura performs on campus and in the Durham community. The group specializes in Casino-style salsa. However, it enthusiastically explores other Latin dance styles as well as hip hop.
