Register for the DOUGHMAN (http://www.DOUGHMAN.org)!  Durham's innovative contribution to gastronomic-athletics is coming again MAY 23, 2009.  Get four-person teams ready to eat, run, bike, and 'swim' through the beautiful streets of Durham stopping at some of the best restaurants in town.  Blu Seafood, Nosh, Dain's Place, Four Square, and Daisy Cakes will all be sponsoring this year.  Help raise money for the Durham Inner-city Gardeners (DIG) from SEEDS (http://www.seedsnc.org/dig.htm) by participating in this ridiculously fun and exciting race -- DOUGHMAN 2009: Bigger, Batter, Doughier.

The DOUGHMAN is the world's premier quadrathlon.  Four-person teams relay through Durham competitively eating and participating in the traditional elements of a triathlon (bike, run, 'swim').  This year's event is once again raising money and awareness for the urban youth leadership program, the Durham Inner-city Gardeners.  It's a great program for inner-city youth of Durham who plan, cultivate, harvest, and sell organic produce from the DIG garden at SEEDS (the Durham Community Garden).  Check out the DOUGHMAN website at http://www.DOUGHMAN.org for more details.  The race is great fun, it's for a great cause, and there will be great food.  Have fun, feel great, and participate in this year's 2nd Annual DOUGHMAN -- Bigger, Batter, Doughier.  Email us: info@DOUGHMAN.org with any questions.  SPOTS ARE LIMITED so register your four-person teams now.  Registration ends on 30 April so go to http://www.DOUGHMAN.org to sign your team up and get the training plan started.

These students sometimes coordinate their "unofficial" worktrips through our graduate and professional student listserve - habitat4humanity@duke.edu.
