Advice about a neurologist within the coverage plan.

Hello everybody,

 

Would someone have any information about a neurologist that is covered by Duke's health insurance?

 

I've had some potential mild numbness in my cheeks for a week now and I was wanting to have it checked out.

 

Will Duke insurance specialists take referrals from doctors out of the area?

Thank you for the reply. I will certainly keep it in mind. I actually saw a doctor today, and he said that due to the bilateral nature of the sensation, combined with other symptoms I had given him, that it was almost surely just stress. But if it doesn't go away with his recommendations I will be sure to get a referral as shortly after.

Neurologists in Duke insurance plan

I have had good experiences with a Neurologist (Dr. Winston Clive Parris) over at the Duke Health Center/ Pain and Palliative Clinic off of Morreene Rd. I was referred by student health, and the co-pay was $25 per visit. It seems to take a while to get an appointment, so try to get a referral asap.
