Recommendations for Movers
(compiled from the Gradwomen listserv)
- I highly recommend Taylor Moving. Very reasonable.
- I highly recommend Trosa. They are not too expensive and arrive ON TIME, which is amazing for movers. Very nice people and you're supporting a good cause.
- TROSA is a good nonprofit organization. I've not personally used them but have heard great things. http://www.trosainc.org/
- Don't use Miracle Movers....It's a miracle if they show up.
- Have you checked out TROSA? http://www.trosainc.org/businesses/index.htm click on TROSA moving. I will be using them in a couple weeks to move from an apparent to a house in town. Honestly, I didn't compare prices, but I've used TROSA for other things (professional picture framing and buying furniture). All my dealings with them have been very professional and courteous - and I like the idea of my money going to help people.
- I used Two Men and a Truck - they're a national company that does local service (a friend of mine is using them in Atlanta this weekend). They were quick, efficient, and relatively inexpensive - I think they charge by the hour. www.twomenandatruck.com
- TROSA is very good, very reliable, and very reasonably priced. I have helped a number of friends move who have used them and have always been very impressed with how fast they are. Plus you will be helping a really valuable local non-profit.

Door to Door?
Has anyone used a company called Door to Door for moving/stoage? Door to Door is similar to Pods, but ALOT cheaper. Thanks.
