Why:
Help build houses for families living in substandard housing; no experience required. You can work the morning session (8-12), afternoon session (1-5), or both. Typical activities include construction, landscaping, and painting. Please contact Christine Kinnier and Genevieve Ricart (habitat-leaders@duke.edu) to RSVP, preferably by Monday, October 6th. If your schedule changes and you are suddenly unable or able to attend, please call Christine at 919-564-6868.
Many students have found that they want to volunteer more than once a month or that they are repeatedly unable to attend our worktrip dates due to scheduling conflicts. These students sometimes coordinate their "unofficial" worktrips through our graduate and professional student listserve - habitat4humanity@duke.edu.
