Why: Want to help cats & dogs in need in Durham/Orange County? This is your chance to learn how YOU can get involved in Independent Animal Rescue's many volunteer programs - fostering, fundraising, fence-building, feral cat trapping, case management and many others! This event is broken into two parts: a general information session about Independent Animal Rescue (IAR), followed by a detailed foster training session. IAR is an all-volunteer, all-donation funded non-profit organization. In 2007, we were able to help over 1000 animals in the Triangle, and with your help we hope to increase that number this year!
