Farmhand cordially invites you to participate in our *Local Food Challenge*,
November 1st through 7th, culminating with Farmhand's First Annual *Fall
Festival*, Saturday November 8th at Woodcrest Farm in Hillsborough.
Local Food Challenge Pledge:
For the first week of November, I pledge to be mindful of the food I consume and
where it originates. I will make a concerted effort to eat local products and consume at least one meal a day with foods from local sources.
Local Food challenge events include communal kickoff lunch, composting workshop,potlucks, local keg, and of course, the Fall Festival!
The fall festival will be potluck style, please let us know what you arebringing by using the farmhand wiki, https://wiki.duke.edu/display/ff2008/Home.

The festival will feature a pig roasting, apple bobbing, farm tours,and
blacksmithing workshops, performance by the local band, Sweet By and By,
campfire, and a word or two from our local farmers and of course, camaraderie!
