Why: The Youth Science Enrichment Protocol (YSEP) is an educational pipeline program of the SNMA which seeks to stimulate minority students' interest in science at an early age through creative, interactive science lessons and mentorship. The YSEP curriculum consists of science related projects and activities designed by SNMA members. The five areas that will be taught are the Mouth and the Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Digestive, and Central Nervous systems, with additional focus on Physical Activity, Nutrition and Stress. The members also serve as role models and provide mentorship for the young, minority students.
