Contact: jfs13@duke.edu
Sponsor: GPSC Community Outreach
Where: 708 Gilbert Street, Durham, NC 27701
Why:

Volunteer at the Durham Food Bank on Saturday, November 15 from 1pm to 4pm. Warehouse volunteers sort fresh produce into smaller boxes, repackage products from food manufacturers and distributors, and put bulk items into family size portions. I do not know what project we will be doing but it may or may not be messy, so wear comfortable clothes and closed toe shoes. Please contact Jennifer Seger (jfs13@duke.edu) to RSVP and fill out a consent form.

By volunteering at the Durham Food Bank, you make a tangible contribution to your community. For every hour worked by volunteers at the Food Bank, 317 pounds of food is distributed to our network of partner agencies who serve the 400,000 people at risk of hunger in our service area.
