Volunteer Opportunity at the Duke Forest

Why: Did you miss the fun Duke Forest Activity in April? Well, here's your second chance! The project could be from 9am to noon on *August 30*, working out in the forest on trail maintenance. We will probably be working to eliminate trails in an area where extra foot trails are no longer needed. The project will involve raking and blocking the trail and generally preparing the area for re-growth. We may also be installing "waterbars", wooden beams that are used on the trail to control erosion.
Participants should wear clothes for being out in the forest, and bring water bottles. We will provide work gloves, but participants are welcome to bring their own as well.
