I am planning on applying to serve in this position again next year. However, (whether or not I have the opportunity to serve again) I would like to begin training the next interested person. This will ensure some institutional memory. I would like to speak to the Exec Board about how to best approach this training process.

Agenda and Comments:
1. Review the academic calendar for 2010-11. Calendar was approved. I do not forsee any significant problems for G and P students.
2. Review the summer holiday cancellations policy. All feed back was positive.
3. Review USC policies regarding Founder's Day advertisement, block exams, reading day activities, and evening class exams. All policies were confirmed.
4. FYI: Absolutely NO make-up classes can be held on University holidays.

Two items GPSC should be aware of:
1. An undergraduate forum (to be held as a conference or camp directly prior to the beginning of the fall semester) is being discussed as part of the QEP part of the SACS report. At this time, I do not know if any G and P involvement. However, this may effect beginning of school activities.
2. As the Islamic holiday Ramadan (please excuse mis-spelling) cycles through the calendar, it is currently falling near the time of summer exams. This is the hottest part of the year and has the longest days. Incidences have occured in which students have passed out during the intellectually stressful times due to lack of nutrition because of fasting. No action is required of GPSC at this time. Just wanted the body to be aware.
