Description:

  A new postdoctoral researcher will spearhead a collaborative project between the laboratories of Dr. Jean Cook and Dr. Brian Strahl in the Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics. The goal of the project is to explore the interaction between chromatin structure and replication origin activity in budding yeast with future plans to extend these findings to mammalian cells. The successful applicant will be prepared to work in a highly interactive and interdisciplinary environment. Candidates should be currently located in the US, and preference is given to US citizens or green card holders, though highly qualified international applicants are also welcome.

Requirements:

Published doctoral work in biochemistry, molecular biology, or cell biology.
