DukeCard

In order to attend a men's basketball game at Duke, you will have to present your DukeCard in order to enter Cameron. The DukeCard Office has agreed to issue DukeCards for spouses/partners for the purpose of attending men's basketball games for a one-year trial period. As in the past, you are still able to obtain a DukeCard for a spouse/partner by purchasing a gym membership.

Beginning this year, the DukeCards for spouses and partners will have expiration dates on them. For this trial period, the cards will be valid for one year. If this program is successful, the expiration date will likely be changed to a longer length of time such as the expected graduation date of the graduate/professional student.

As a spouse or partner of a graduate/professional student, what should I bring to the DukeCard office to obtain an ID?

  • Your spouse or partner (who is a currently enrolled graduate/professional student).
  • Proof of enrollment at Duke University for your spouse or partner.
  • For a spouse, proof of marriage, such as a marriage certificate.
For a same-sex partner, you must complete an affidavit at the Duke University Benefits Office. (Link to the Affidavit Page.)
  • Photo ID (Driver's License or passport).
  • Payment ($10 Cash/Check/FLEX).
A reduced fee will be charged if a recreational center membership is purchased.

Please call the DukeCard Office at 919-684-5800 or email dukecard@duke.edu if you have any questions.
