I am looking for a non-smoker to share my house in the Hope Valley area, near University. The house is at the end of a residential street, in a pretty quiet neighborhood. It's about 3 1/2 miles from Duke campus, and a pretty easy bike ride. The room available is a downstairs master bedroom, with wood floors, a large closet, and a full private bathroom attached.
The house is a 2-story house, but the upstairs is primarily my bedroom, office, and bathroom. However, there is a washer/dryer upstairs available for use.
The downstairs has wood floors, and tile in the kitchen. There is a fireplace in the living room. There is a small back yard with a deck and a pretty nice gas grill.
I have a 30 lb mutt, Smudge, who is very engergetic, and a cat who pretty much stays upstairs. Cats and dogs are welcome.
Rent is $400 per month, and 1/2 utilities. The room is available after August 25, until the end of August of 2009. If you move in at the end of August, you can begin paying rent at the beginning of September.
I am a 37-year-old female postdoctoral student in the Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Dept at Duke. I'm pretty quiet and low key.
