Duke CHild & Infant Learning and Development (CHILD) labs are conducting a study on how children think about others’ mind. We are inviting your child (if s/he is  between 3-7 year old and from an English-speaking family) to enjoy games and cartoon videos.

Each child will receive $10 and little gifts. Free parking will be provided.

Duke University CHILD researchers investigate infant and child cognition in the areas of perception, memory, number recognition, and language. CHILD research methods are completely non-invasive. This research could provide a strong foundation in helping to understand how children think and learn as the brain develops.  Understanding how the brain actually works as it grows during this early stage will hopefully answer many questions about childhood learning and development in general.  Additionally, it may inspire improved early school curricula and better educational testing, and possibly earlier detection of delays in childhood development. CHILD research is devoted to making the most of the childhood years.

What you can expect when you participate in a CHILD Study.
Studies last from 15 minutes to an hour.
Some studies involve more than one visit.
Your child will be with you the whole time.
Parking is free.
Depending on the study, you may receive travel reimbursement, participation
 certificates, gift cards and  more!
Both you and your baby will find our studies interesting.
Siblings are welcome!
