Duke DPT 5th Annual 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run

The Duke Doctor of Physical Therapy program is hosting the fifth annual 5K run/walk at 10:00 am on Saturday October 10th, 2009. The race benefits Easter Seals, United Cerebral Palsy of North Carolina, which provides direct physical therapy services for children and adults with disabilities. In addition, the race aims to raise awareness about physical therapy and promote fitness in the community. The race also features a 0.1 mile Kids Fun Run, which will be directly before the 5K at 9:00 am. The 5K course is USATF certified and is an out and back course through Duke's west campus. Post-race festivities include door prizes, raffles, and free therapeutic massages from PT students! The race is sponsored by Duke Medicine Department of PT/OT, Duke University School of Medicine, Duke University Stores, Duke Personal Training, and Graduate and Professional Student Council. You can register online for $15 at Active.com, keyword Duke DPT 5K up through 9/25, or on race day. Hope to see you there!
