An Enthusiastic HELLO
Big ups to Chris Rowland for being the most ROCKING GPSC Communications Coordinator in the history of GPSCNews. He leaves enormous shoes to fill... I hope I can keep up the HIGH ENERGY that he brought to this weekly news blast. Speaking of "high energy," this week is LDOC and I hope to see all you out on E-Quad at the GPSC table and then later at the concerts and activities. Remember, LDOC is an AWESOME opportunity to unwind and welcome summer. Celebrate responsibly and KEEP ON DANCING.

1. GPSC ROCKS LDOC

Calling all AWESOME graduate and professional students! Let's ROCK LDOC this year in full force! Come join other classy colleagues for a pre-game "hydration style" before the big concert and get a FREE T-shirt! No wristband is needed to stop by the GPSC table.
2. LDOC! LDOC! LDOC!
When: Wed, April 24th: ALL DAY
Location: Main Quad
• Mon, April 22nd: 10AM-7:30PM at the BC Plaza
• Tue, April 23rd: 10AM-5PM at the BC Plaza
• Wed, April 24th: 9AM-3:30PM at the Main Quad (in front of West Union)
Wristbands for spouses of current graduate students will be sold for $5 from the ticket office between 1pm and 6pm on Monday (4/22) and Tuesday (4/23). Only spouses will be able to purchase these and only with a valid spouse ID.
• Students may have a maximum of six 12 oz. cans on them at any given time, and must be personally in possession of the cans
• Alcohol other than beer is NOT permitted
• Glass containers are NOT permitted
• Students are required to carry their DukeCards with them at all times and may be asked to present it to demonstrate they are a Duke student

Last Day Of Classes aka LDOC is THE ULTIMATE Duke Experience! It is a definite MUST-GO! LDOC the largest event held on Duke’s campus, comprised of a wide array of daytime programming and live musical performances! Check out the full schedule HERE! LDOC offers Duke students a chance to relax and unwind with their friends. Duke is a private campus, and as such "open-container" laws do NOT apply! That's right, you can walk around campus with a six-pack of your favorite beer and drink to your heart's content. See all of the LDOC policies HERE!

3. DukeENVENT Spring Launch & Lunch

4. Duke BOLD (Building Outdoor Leaders and Doers) Happy Hour & Info Session

Duke BOLD (Building Outdoor Leaders and Doers) is having a happy hour and info session at Alivia's. Our mission is to provide hands-on, exciting opportunities for graduate students and alumni to develop and strengthen personal leadership skills through structured outdoor sports and activities. In the past we have organized high altitude climbs over winter break to Cotopaxi in Ecuador, Pico de Orizaba in Mexico, and Nevado Chachani in Peru. Come join us for a drink, see some pictures, and some questions about what we're all about. Hope to see you there!
5. Grad/Professional Student Night at Durham Bull's Game

We have reserved a picnic area with FREE kegs and food. Come cheer on the Bulls and meet some new fellow Duke students. Keep in mind that beer and food is not unlimited so come early! You can pick up your reserved ticket before the game in front of the stadium. Note: after the 1st inning, your ticket is not guaranteed. All tickets not picked up before the 1st inning ends will be held at will call for any Duke grad student to claim. Even if you haven't signed up you may still get in!
6. The WunderGlo Foundation's 2nd Annual "Go To Hell, Cancer" 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Founded by Duke '04 alum and '04 Class President, Gloria Borges, when she was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer, the WunderGlo Foundation raises funds to find the cure, support cancer warriors and their loved ones, and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
