I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. This is a reminder that Men's Basketball is providing tons of Family Tickets for Cornell(12/19), Elon(12/20), and Santa Clara(12/29), absolutely free. The GPSC Student Group Winter Funding Cycle is now open until Jan 9th. This is the last week to submit your application for the Young Trustee Position. The Duke Libraries is hosting a study break Tues (12/11) at 8PM, and is announcing their ca$h prize contest. Don't forget to check out the Did You Know section, which highlights Duke's awesome Mobile App. I hope everyone has a super-amazing week!

This Week (12/10-12/16)

1. Men's Basketball Family Games
• Cornell on Wed, Dec 19th: 7PM tip-off
• Elon on Thur, Dec 20th: 7PM tip-off
• Santa Clara on Sat, Dec 29th: 12PM tip-off
Location: Cameron Indoor

Family wristband distribution will start 2.5 hours prior to tip-off outside the graduate student entrance to Cameron Indoor Stadium
A student with a valid Duke ID must be present with each party and all family members must be present to be wrist-banded. No exceptions! There is a strict limit of 5 tickets per DUKE ID (including the student), so each student can bring 4 guests. Wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until each allotment is reached. Normal admission and stadium policies will be enforced. No purses, No bags, No umbrellas

The Executive Finance Committee will meet the week of January 9-14th and make the student group funding decisions, with the GPSC General Assembly voting on the budget during the GA meeting, Tuesday, Jan. 15th. Groups can expect to hear a response regarding the funding applications after this GA meeting. Please contact the GPSC Student Groups Liaison, Brad Hover, or GPSC Treasurer, Amol Yadav if you have any questions.

3. Young Trustee Position Accepting Applications

Applications for graduate and professional student Young Trustee are now being accepted. The Young Trustee serves as the voice of the graduate and professional student body on Duke University’s Board of Trustees. For a description of the position and application instructions, please visit:

Entries for the 2013 Andrew T. Nadell Book Collectors Contest are now being accepted. Since 1947, the Friends of the Libraries have presented the contest in alternate years to promote reading for enjoyment and the development of students’ personal libraries. The contest is open to all undergraduate and graduate students who are regularly enrolled at Duke University. Winners of the graduate division will receive cash prizes of $750 for first place and $500 for second place. For more information and to enter the contest, please visit
